Taking science to the public and policy makers

In the NWEC Lab, we work hard to have our research published and presented to our colleagues at scholarly conferences. However, that is not the end of the science story. Recognising that many of our studies are designed to influence policy and practice, we take and make opportunities to bring our experiences, insights, and research to practitioners, decision makers, and the public. That involves extension and communication to governments at all levels, meeting with professionals in the field, developing and participating in non-technical outreach, and collaborating with the media to tell our stories.
